The Kitchen God's Wife by Amy Tan

8/10 I liked this book quite a bit. I have been in a major reading slump lately and I wonder if I might have enjoyed it more if I had read it another time. I loved the way Amy Tan makes the Chinese culture come alive through her characters. I read The Joy Luck Club a while back and actually prefer The Kitchen God's Wife more.
